Field Outdoor Spaces runs landscaping crews, but the record-keeping behind them, HR, payroll, scheduling, safety, training, and crew production numbers, was spread across separate tools. Off-the-shelf HR software covered people but knew nothing about crews, quarters, man-days, or the company's own production goals.
Eclipse built a Laravel portal around a crew production tracker that computes man-days as hours over nine on a custom quarter-by-week fiscal calendar, with the math held in custom Eloquent collections so totals stay consistent. Around it sits attendance and payroll, cloud schedule uploads, a safety module, the Field U training library, and a full recruitment pipeline.
HR, payroll, scheduling, safety, training, and crew production now run from one portal instead of a stack of separate tools. Managers see every crew's hours, man-days, and goal progress in the same place they run the rest of the business, on a system built to fit how the company actually works rather than a generic HR product.
