LifeSmarts is a national consumer-education program where students compete in teams and a season runs on state qualifiers. Generic LMS tools could not model those roles or score team competitions, so the program ran on spreadsheets and manual workarounds.
Eclipse built a Laravel and Vue platform around a competition quiz engine with eight question types and resumable sessions, three pluggable team-scoring methods chosen per competition, role-aware registration by state, and season automation that promotes students and expires quizzes on its own.
The program now runs on one system. Students learn and compete, coaches manage teams, and admins run national qualifiers without scoring anything by hand. The platform holds 16,878 registered users and 14,902 questions, supporting a program more than 100,000 students take part in each year.
